Green Earth signs Uganda carbon credit offtake deal worth up to USD 16.3 million
Reuters2026/08/11 06:10- Green Earth signed a long-term VERPA with an international energy company for CO2 credits from its Bulindi agroforestry project in Uganda.
- Buyer committed to 262,400 verified CO2 credits for delivery in 2027-2031, representing about USD 4.8 million of contracted future sales.
- Contract includes a USD 141,600 option premium for rights to buy up to 566,400 additional credits through 2035.
- Full option exercise would lift the agreement’s total potential value to about USD 16.3 million, including the option premium.
- Management said the deal lifts the order book to more than EUR 50 million.
