Arbutus Q2 FY26 net loss widens to $5.1 million; revenue drops 90.56% to $1.01 million

- Revenue slid 90.56% to $1 million, due to recognition of $9.6 million deferred revenue in Q2 2025 after the Qilu partnership ended.
- R&D expense fell 47.27% to $2.9 million, on workforce reductions, ending in-house research, and lower clinical trial costs.
- Cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities totaled $92.6 million at June 30, 2026; received $178.4 million in July from the Moderna settlement.
- Plans to repurchase up to about $230 million of shares starting Q3; filed international patent enforcement suits against Pfizer and BioNTech.
