East Ventures report says digital infrastructure lifts Indonesia regional competitiveness in 2026 index

- “Entrepreneurship and Productivity” led the national index gain, supported by higher technology adoption that lifted digital economic activity.
- “Regional Government Regulation and Capacity” posted one of the strongest increases as provinces expanded digital public services and SPBE implementation.
- Southwest Papua recorded the fastest improvement, jumping to 18th from 33rd; its score rose to 43.8 from 34.9.
- South Sulawesi re-entered the top 10 at 10th with 48.9; its governance pillar rose by over 20 points; Q1 2026 GDP grew 6.9%.
