Braskem Idesa files Chapter 11 to cut senior debt by more than US$920 million

- Plan targets a cut in total senior debt to about USD 1.6 billion from about USD 2.5 billion.
- Braskem will contribute USD 476 million, including amounts funded before the filing.
- Braskem will retain a majority stake in the reorganized equity; Idesa will be the largest minority shareholder.
- Braskem Idesa expects to exit Chapter 11 within about 60 to 90 days; operations to continue without interruption.
