Fed Rate Hike Unlikely Before U.S. Midterm Elections, BofA Survey Says -- Market Talk
Dow Jones2026/08/18 10:011001 GMT - The Federal Reserve is highly unlikely to raise interest rates before the U.S. midterm elections in November, Bank of America's August global fund manager survey says. In the survey, 72% of the respondents say no Fed hike will take place before that. Meanwhile, 22% of respondents said they expected the Fed to hike rates before the midterm elections. Money markets currently price in a Fed rate hike in December, according to LSEG data. (emese.bartha@wsj.com)
