Hiscox's Retail Momentum is Underpriced by Investors -- Market Talk
Dow Jones2026/08/24 07:080708 GMT - Hiscox's share price doesn't reflect the London-listed insurer's growth potential, Berenberg's Michael Christodoulou says. The company offers accelerating top-line growth, helped by its retail business, Berenberg says. A growing retail market and improved cost efficiency should see ongoing improvements to operating leverage, the analyst says. Hiscox can also grow its financial leverage and improve its cost of capital, but this is likely a factor for next year, Berenberg says. The brokerage raises its EPS estimates by around 2% due to lower costs. It has a buy recommendation on the stock with a price target of 2,150 pence. Shares closed at 1,795 pence on Friday.
