Zhitong Finance APP has learned that on Monday, optical communication stock Applied Optoelectronics (AAOI.US) opened sharply lower, with its share price falling more than 16% at the time of writing. According to reports, Applied Optoelectronics plans to raise $600 million through a stock offering. Investors are concerned that equity will be further diluted, especially since Applied Optoelectronics has already raised funds multiple times this year using similar financing tools. This includes a $500 million ATM financing plan completed in April and another $600 million financing launched in May. Therefore, after investors have already endured significant equity dilution this year, the latest filing indicates that the company is about to begin yet another large-scale stock offering.
