Energy Transfer Pick of the Week at Smart Insider Following Chair, Director Share Purchases

09:43 AM EDT, 08/25/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Energy Transfer (ET) was Smart Insider's stock pick of the week after Chair Kelcy Warren and Director James Perry bought company shares. Warren, who has served as chair since January 2021, bought 1 million shares at $21.26 apiece on Aug. 19, Smart Insider said in a Tuesday note. The purchase lifted his holding to 308.4 million shares, or about 9% of the company, and marked his first purchase since November 2025, according to the note. The latest purchase was made at the highest price Warren has paid for shares since 2015, according to Smart Insider. The firm said it ranked Energy Transfer +N, or notable & positive signal, 10 days ago after Perry bought $250,000 of shares at $20.23. Perry, a director since 2020, has made two prior purchases, including one at $13.50 in November 2023, both of which were "timely", Smart Insider said.
