- First-half outlook also maintained: net sales JPY 85 billion, operating profit JPY 1 billion, profit JPY 2.5 billion.
- Guidance follows 1Q net sales of JPY 38.6 billion, down JPY 0.9 billion year on year on weaker overseas sales.
- 1Q operating profit improved to JPY 0.4 billion from a JPY 1.2 billion loss, helped by functional materials growth.
- 1Q profit rose to JPY 2.2 billion from a JPY 1.3 billion loss, driven by gains on sales of investment securities.
