ARC Resources Gets Investment Canada Act Approval for Shell Deal

07:06 AM EDT, 08/26/2026 (MT Newswires) -- ARC Resources (ARX.TO) said late Tuesday that the Government of Canada approved its previously announced arrangement with Shell and Shell Canada under the Investment Canada Act. The deal has obtained shareholder approval, the Court of King's Bench of Alberta approval and approvals under the Competition Act, the Canada Transportation Act and the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976 in the US, among other conditions to closing. The transaction is scheduled to close on or about Sept. 2.
