AeroVironment Gets $51 Million US Army Order for Switchblade Systems

09:40 AM EDT, 08/26/2026 (MT Newswires) -- AeroVironment (AVAV) said Wednesday that it has won a $51 million delivery order from the US Army to provide more Switchblade 600 Block 2 loitering munition systems. The order also includes Switchblade 600 Block 1 systems for a US ally, the company said. The latest order was awarded under the Army's $990 million five-year indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract for lethal unmanned systems, which was issued in August 2024, AeroVironment said.
