Reuters2026/08/27 07:02- Lake Victoria Gold reported shallow, high-grade drill intercepts at the fully permitted Imwelo Gold Project in Tanzania on Aug. 27, 2026.
- Area C results included 28.71 g/t Au over 2.75 m from 21 m in IMWDR029, with a 0.50 m sample at 142.90 g/t.
- Another hole returned 12.20 g/t Au over 4.50 m from 32 m in IMWDR028, including 124.83 g/t over 0.40 m.
- Whole-core material from eight holes entered metallurgical tests to decide whether scrubbing, screening, or desliming is needed for clay-rich ore.
- Outputs will feed the final Area C process flowsheet, plant configuration, pit design, grade control, and mine scheduling ahead of first gold.
