BMW hits 2 million battery-electric vehicle deliveries since 2013 launch of i3
Reuters2026/08/27 08:09- BMW reached 2 million battery-electric vehicle deliveries since the BMW i3 sales launch in late 2013, hitting the milestone in August.
- Total electrified deliveries including plug-in hybrids reached about 3.5 million since 2013; over 25% of vehicles sold in H1 2026 were electrified.
- Europe BEV deliveries rose 38% in Q2 2026 to 81,445 as BMW iX3 availability increased; BEVs took a 28% share in H1 2026.
- The 2 millionth BEV was a BMW i5 M60 xDrive produced in Dingolfing, delivered to a customer in Spain.
- BMW reported 2025 sales of 2.46 million cars; pretax profit of EUR 10.2 billion on revenue of EUR 133.5 billion.
