Maybank 2Q FY26 net profit rises 2.4% Y/Y to RM 2.69 billion
Reuters2026/08/27 08:48- Maybank 2Q FY26 net profit rose 2.4% year-on-year to RM 2.69 billion; profit before tax increased 3.7% to RM 3.64 billion.
- Net operating income climbed 5.8% quarter-on-quarter to RM 7.51 billion; net interest margin widened 10 basis points year-on-year to 2.10%.
- Net impairment provisions fell 51.4% year-on-year to RM 230 million; net credit charge eased 16 basis points to 8 basis points.
- Group loans expanded 2.7% year-on-year to RM 695.9 billion; CASA rose 7.6%, lifting the CASA ratio to 41.5%.
- Declared a 31 sen first interim dividend, including a 5 sen DRP election; payout ratio 72.5% with total payout about RM 3.75 billion.
