BUZZ-Intel gains; report says SK Hynix considering it for chip production

** Shares of Intel INTC.O rose as much as 1.7% in premarket trading; last up 0.8% at $90.17

** SK Hynix 000660.KS is considering entrusting Intel with the production of base die chips, according to a report on Monday

** South Korean chipmaker is trying to diversify its foundry base beyond Taiwan's TSMC 2330.TW; INTC hired former SK Hynix CEO Lee Seok-hee as senior vice president for its foundry business in June, the report said citing analysts

** Fourteen of 49 brokerages rate INTC "buy" or higher, 33 "hold" and two "sell"; their median PT is $110- LSEG-compiled data

** Up to last close, INTC up more than 142% YTD
