Dow Jones2026/09/08 05:190519 GMT - Isetan Mitsukoshi's sales and cost initiatives seem to be showing steady progress, says Nomura's Hisahiro Yamaoka in a note. The company's fiscal 1Q results showed growth in the number and sales to identified customers, and cost restructuring progress, the analyst notes. Yamaoka expects Japanese sales to remain solid, citing wealth effects. Overseas sales is likely to be stable but may remain susceptible to external factors such as foreign-exchange effects, Yamaoka adds. Nomura raises its target price to 3,470 yen from 3,110 yen but maintains a neutral rating, noting shares are fairly valued. Shares decline 2.5% to Y3,127. (megan.cheah@wsj.com)
