09:59 AM EDT, 09/14/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Pony AI (PONY) said Monday it introduced a new Level 4 autonomous heavy-duty truck that was developed in collaboration with GAC Commercial Vehicle. The vehicle is built on GAC Commercial Vehicle's T9 battery-electric heavy-duty truck platform and integrates Pony.ai's Gen-4 L4 autonomous trucking system, as well as a fully automotive-grade autonomous driving kit, the company said. Pony AI said volume production of the vehicle is slated to begin later in 2026, with the robotrucks targeted to be deployed in long-haul freight, dedicated-route logistics, and port transportation. According to Fitch's latest report, the default rate for US private credit, tracking 1,300 borrowers, rose to 6.3% by the end of August over the past 12 months, surpassing the previous record high of 6.1% in July.
