Brian Moynihan Says Investment Banking Revenues Are Down at BofA -- WSJ
Dow Jones2026/09/14 18:39By Gina Heeb
Bank of America Chief Executive Brian Moynihan said Monday that investment-banking revenue would fall by 10% in the quarter from a year earlier.
"We're not as well positioned in some of the businesses that ... had more activity," Moynihan said at a financial conference hosted by Barclays. He said the bank should bring in about $1.6 billion to $1.8 billion in investment-banking fees, down from about $2 billion a year ago. He said trading revenues would be flat from a year earlier but that still counted as "one of the better third quarters we've ever had."
Moynihan was overall confident in the status of the economy and said future deals are coming. The bank's shares were down more than 5%, falling harder than rivals on Monday.
