Iperionx Validates Continuous Titanium Production System

08:59 AM EDT, 09/16/2026 (MT Newswires) -- IperionX (IPX) said Wednesday its GenX next-generation continuous HAMR titanium production system was validated through its first four production campaigns at its Virginia R&D facility. The company said the GenX system processed more than 500 kilograms of titanium powder across 41 hours of continuous production, averaging about 12 kilograms per hour. All spherical powder samples met the Grade 23 oxygen specification, while seven of eight angular powder samples met the Grade 5 limit, the company said, adding that the system also achieved six times the throughput of the batch process. IperionX said it plans to continue optimizing GenX and integrate the furnace into a full powder production line in Q4. It will also evaluate the engineering and economics of its first industrial-scale GenX production line, it added.
