The Pentagon and Lockheed Martin (LMT.US) have reached a framework agreement to accelerate the production of new air-to-air missiles.

It is reported by Zhitong Finance APP that the Pentagon and Lockheed Martin (LMT.US) are accelerating the production of a new type of classified air-to-air missile designed for the US Air Force and Navy fighter jets. The company and the US Department of Defense have stated that they have reached a broad framework agreement and will eventually sign a multi-year contract for the Joint Advanced Tactical Missile (JATM) production. This missile is still under development, but it is close to entering the production phase.
