Berkshire Hathaway is doubling down on the U.S. housing market.
The conglomerate bought roughly $212.4 million worth of home-builder Lennar's shares in recent days, according to securities filings. The purchases mean that Berkshire now owns around 10% of Lennar.
Lennar's Class A shares rose about 6% Tuesday afternoon.
The Omaha, Neb.-based conglomerate has expanded its interests in the U.S. housing market under CEO Greg Abel, who succeeded Warren Buffett in January. Berkshire added to its positions in D.R. Horton and Lennar during the June quarter.
Berkshire also acquired home-builder Taylor Morrison earlier this year in a $6.8 billion deal.
"This investment is grounded in a long-term belief in the strength of America's housing market and its underlying fundamentals, which we see as enduring over time," Abel said in June.
