ONDO and QNT Lead RWA Rally: What’s Driving Today’s Price Action?

The Real-World Asset (RWA) tokenization sector is rallying strongly, led by double-digit gains in Ondo Finance (ONDO) and Quant (QNT).

Both tokens are gaining on institutional developments, as institutional capital and banking infrastructure begin to move RWA tokenization beyond the proof-of-concept stage.

ONDO and QNT are leading today’s RWA token rally, with both posting double-digit gains and outperforming much of the broader crypto market and wider RWA sector. At press time, ONDO was trading at $0.5545, up 28.7% over the past 24 hours. Its market capitalization stood at about $2.7 billion, and 24-hour trading had soared to approximately $1.247 billion.

Meanwhile, QNT has delivered an even bigger percentage move during the same period. At press time, the token was trading at $97.99, up 38.2% over the past 24 hours. Its market cap has risen to approximately $1.497 billion, with a 24-hour trading volume of approximately $73 million.

The rally in ONDO and QNT is being fueled by the two institutional catalysts in the RWA and tokenized finance sector, and not market sentiment alone. For ONDO, the main catalyst is the September 24 launch of Ondo Intelligent Portfolios. Ondo Finance introduced three single token products, BLKHIon, BLKDIGon, and BLKGRWon, based on model portfolio strategies developed by BlackRock for Ondo.

The tokens give eligible non-U.S. investors on-chain access to diversified baskets of assets, moving Ondo beyond single-asset tokenization into multi-asset portfolio products and driving a multi-fold increase in trading volume.

For QNT, the catalyst is Quant’s selection by The Clearing House to power its On-Chain Money Initiative. By partnering, Quant’s technology becomes the interoperability, orchestration, and transaction-management layer for tokenized deposit transactions across U.S. financial institutions.

In addition, Quant’s network will link on-chain activity to existing fiat payment networks such as the RTP and CHIPS networks, with the network slated to go live for participating institutions by the first half of 2027. Quant will also provide Tokenised Deposits-as-a-Service functionality, making it the hub of bank-led programmable money and tokenized commercial bank deposits in the United States.

The recent developments in ONDO and QNT reflect a general trend in the RWA space, transitioning from prototype applications to actual products and infrastructure. As of late September 2026, the on-chain tokenized RWA market is in the $34–46 billion range and, over the past year, has grown by approximately 40–85%.

Looking ahead, the RWA market could see more institutional product launches, including portfolio-style offerings and bank-issued tokenized deposits. Regulatory clarity may also help distribution, and more emphasis is being placed on making tokenized assets more functional on-chain than just holding on to them.

After Japanese Official’s Statement, Besant Steps In: “Merit of Strong Yen” Already Discussed with Japan’s Finance Minister

Besant stated that he had a "productive call" with Japanese Finance Minister Mitsuru Sakazuki on Friday, during which they discussed the desirability of a strong yen that reflects Japan's robust economic fundamentals and emphasized the importance of maintaining close communication regarding the foreign exchange market. Sakazuki earlier revealed that during a meeting this week between Trump and Sanae Takaichi, both mentioned the weakening yen. Takaichi said that the undervaluation of the yen is "problematic." Institutions believe that the risk of intervention may "cap" the yen's decline.
