XRP CVD Is Flashing a Warning. Expert Says Watch This Closely
XRP’s price has held relatively steady over the past several days. But beneath the surface, a key market metric is telling a different story.
The CVD reading for XRP has dropped sharply to 16.2 million. That decline has pushed it below its 20.9 million and 26.5 million moving averages, a meaningful break that suggests sellers have been more aggressive than buyers in recent sessions, even as price has not yet reflected that shift.
What the Chart Shows
The chart displays XRP’s CVD across a roughly 10-day window.
A sharp peak formed around September 23, when CVD climbed to approximately 62 million. Since then, it has fallen steadily. The chart’s circled area highlights the current moment: CVD sitting near its recent lows at approximately 16.2 million, with the price still holding above collapse territory.
Two moving averages run through the chart. CVD has dropped below both. The candlestick action in the circled zone shows red-bodied candles, confirming that selling pressure has dominated recent sessions.
The Divergence
Price and CVD are moving in opposite directions. The divergence is notable. When CVD falls while price holds, it often means the market is absorbing sell pressure for now. The question is how long that absorption holds.
The CVD figure of around 16.2 million sits well below the 20.9 million and 26.5 million averages. That gap represents a measurable reduction in net buying activity. For XRP bulls, the task is clear: buying volume needs to increase and push CVD back above the moving average to stabilize the outlook.
What Comes Next for XRP?
XRP currently trades at $1.52, down almost 2% in the past 24 hours. The current setup needs buyers’ response for XRP to regain momentum. Failure to recover in CVD makes the price structure vulnerable. The setup warrants close attention, and the chart supports that caution.
The CVD peak demonstrates how quickly buying pressure can surge in either direction. The next several sessions will be decisive. If CVD stabilizes and begins climbing back, XRP could maintain its current price level. If it continues to fall, the selling pressure visible in the chart may push the price lower.
