NXP Semiconductors, Vanguard International Joint Venture Opens Semiconductor Fab in Singapore

04:13 AM EDT, 09/28/2026 (MT Newswires) -- NXP Semiconductors (NXPI) and Vanguard International Semiconductor's joint venture, VisionPower Semiconductor Manufacturing, opened its first 300mm semiconductor fabrication plant in Tampines, Singapore, the company said Monday. The joint venture said it expects to reach monthly output of 44,000 12-inch wafers by 2029 and create about 1,600 jobs. The facility has entered risk production stage, with volume production scheduled to begin in Q1 2027, VisionPower said.
