Merck Signs Exclusive License Agreement for SciBrunch Therapeutics SPR2015 Inhibitor

07:25 AM EDT, 09/28/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Merck (MRK) has secured exclusive rights to license SPR2015 from SciBrunch Therapeutics under a global agreement valued at up to $2.13 billion, the companies said Monday. Under the agreement, Merck has the rights to develop, manufacture and commercialize SPR2015, an investigational preclinical oral KRAS G12D (ON) inhibitor, the parties said. The companies said SciBrunch will receive $400 million upfront, with potential for additional milestone payments. Related to this transaction, Merck will record a Q3 pre-tax charge of $400 million, or about $0.13 per share, they added.
