Russia extends the ruble gas settlement mandate until April 1, 2027

Russian President Putin signed a presidential decree on September 28, extending the deadline for implementing the ruble settlement order for natural gas trade from the original October 1, 2026 to April 1, 2027. According to the ruble settlement order, foreign buyers must deposit rubles into Russian suppliers’ accounts in Russian banks in order to complete the payment. (CCTV News)
