04:39 AM EDT, 10/01/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Dell Technologies (DELL), JERA and RHAELM Holdings have signed a memorandum of understanding to develop a standardized model for large-scale artificial intelligence infrastructure in Japan, the three companies said Thursday. The framework will combine JERA's power generation and LNG capabilities with Dell's AI computing infrastructure and RHAELM's data center development capabilities, they said. The companies plan to first apply the model to a project in Chiba, Japan. The Chiba project is expected to provide up to 400 megawatts of power and require more than $15 billion in total capital across all phases. Operations are targeted to begin around 2028, according to a statement. Apollo Global Management (APO) plans to serve as RHAELM's strategic investment and financing partner for the Chiba project, providing capital and investment capabilities to support the project's development.
