According to reports, the company's pneumococcal vaccine reached its late-stage clinical trial goals. Based on the company’s evaluation, VAX-31—a 31-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine still in the research phase—achieved positive topline results in the pivotal Phase III OPUS-1 trial. This trial evaluated the candidate vaccine’s safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity in adults to prevent invasive pneumococcal disease and pneumococcal pneumonia. In the OPUS-1 trial, VAX-31 met all pre-specified co-primary immunogenicity endpoints in subjects aged 50 and above. These trial results will establish the foundation for the upcoming Biologics License Application submission to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

The decliners from the UK and Ireland were led by pharmaceutical company Silence Therapeutics (SLN) and biopharmaceutical company Biodexa Pharmaceuticals (BDRX), which dropped 3.9% and 1.4% respectively. They were followed by hospitality company InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) and pharmaceutical company GSK (GSK), which fell 1.1% and 1% respectively.

Pandl says removing bitcoin's five best trading days reduces its three-year return from 225% to 95%, with the return falling to 27% without its 10 best days. If you remove the top fifteen days, it turns a three-year gain into an 11% loss. By comparison, removing the Nasdaq's fifteen best days reduces its cumulative return from 109% to 21%. "Given BTC's return and volatility profile, investors looking for long-term capital appreciation can avoid trying to time the market and instead seek consistent, long-term exposure to the asset," Pandl says.
