Nomura expects the Reserve Bank of India to raise interest rates by another 25 basis points in December.
智通财经2026/10/08 02:21Nomura analysts stated in a report that the Reserve Bank of India unexpectedly shifted its policy stance from "neutral" to "orderly tightening" in order to stabilize inflation expectations and build a buffer against a globally adverse environment. The investment bank expects the Reserve Bank of India to raise rates by another 25 basis points in December and then pause, which contrasts with the market's expectation of a longer rate hike cycle. The Reserve Bank of India has raised its GDP growth and inflation forecasts for the 2026/27 fiscal year to 7.1% and 5.2%, respectively, and has also raised its inflation forecast for the coming year to 5.6%.

Citi raises TSMC target price to 4,000 New Taiwan dollars, maintains Buy rating
Citi analysts stated in a research report that, driven by robust AI computing demand, the potential expansion of AI agents, and the rise of co-packaged optics (CPO) network cycles, TSMC’s revenue growth rate is expected to remain above 40% through 2027. The analysts noted that most AI chip clients, including Nvidia, AMD, and Broadcom, anticipate accelerated growth, so TSMC’s AI-related revenue may nearly double next year. As a result, Citi expects the market will continue to raise earnings forecasts for TSMC. Citi pointed out that supported by the strong revenue outlook, TSMC’s capital expenditure could further rise to $81 billions in 2027 and $90 billions in 2028. Citi maintains a “Buy” rating on TSMC and has raised its target price from 3,800 to 4,000 New Taiwan dollars.
