Nvidia will provide $250 million worth of AI security computing resources to the UK over the next five years.

NVIDIA (NVDA.US) announced that it will provide computing resources worth $250 million to the United Kingdom over the next five years to support AI safety research and help the country build a global AI governance and safety research center. NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang stated on Wednesday that the UK will receive accelerated computing resources valued at $50 million each year, which will be dedicated to AI agent safety testing, assisting UK researchers in establishing more robust safety mechanisms for increasingly powerful AI systems. Although the UK does not have large-scale AI model development enterprises, it is seeking to play a global leadership role in the field of AI risk assessment and governance. Among these efforts, the UK AI Security Institute (AISecurityInstitute) is one of the earliest government-supported institutions established globally, mainly responsible for assessing the risks that advanced AI technologies may pose.
