Shiba Inu at Crossroads as Trading Activity Nears Historic Lows

  • SHIB trades near key support as weak momentum keeps price direction unclear.
  • Trading volume remains extremely low, showing limited conviction from buyers and sellers.
  • On-chain activity is mixed, with declining exchange flows and flat network usage.

Shiba Inu has entered a quiet phase that stands out even in a market known for volatility. Trading activity has dropped sharply, leaving many investors wondering where the token might head next. Recent price action shows limited conviction from both buyers and sellers. With momentum fading and volume remaining weak, SHIB now sits at a critical point where the next major move could depend on fresh market participation.

SHIB Struggles to Regain Momentum

SHIB currently trades near $0.00000517 after several weeks of steady pressure. The token reached a local high near $0.00000627 in late September. However, that rally failed to hold. Since then, price has slipped below key moving averages that now act as resistance rather than support. The long-term moving average sits near $0.00000563. Shorter-term averages remain around $0.00000541 and $0.00000529.

Bulls need to reclaim these levels before confidence can improve. Until then, sellers maintain a slight advantage. The Relative Strength Index remains near 40. Such a reading points to weak momentum. At the same time, the market does not appear oversold. This leaves room for further downside without creating strong expectations for an immediate rebound. Recent trading pushed SHIB toward $0.00000502. Buyers responded around that level.

As a result, the $0.00000500 zone has become an important support area. A breakdown below that threshold could expose the September low near $0.00000475. On the other hand, a move above $0.00000530 would suggest that bearish pressure is starting to weaken. Such a recovery could encourage traders to return and provide much-needed liquidity.

On-Chain Data Shows Mixed Signals

Blockchain data offers a complicated view of current market conditions. Exchange reserves stand near 87.1 trillion SHIB. Netflows remain negative at around 98.9 billion SHIB. More tokens leaving exchanges than entering often suggests reduced selling pressure. Still, several metrics reveal slowing activity. The average amount of SHIB leaving exchanges over seven days dropped 42%. Average inflows declined 14%.

These figures show reduced movement across the board rather than strong accumulation. Network activity tells a similar story. Daily transactions remain close to 4,800, while transfers sit near 3,700. Both measures showed only minor increases. Such numbers reflect a network that remains stable but lacks strong growth. The value of SHIB held on exchanges has also edged lower. Meanwhile, burn data provides little additional insight at this stage.

Without stronger activity, traders may continue waiting for a clear signal before taking larger positions. For now, SHIB remains trapped between support and resistance. Low volume continues to limit meaningful price movement. Buyers and sellers appear equally cautious. Until trading activity returns, uncertainty is likely to remain the dominant theme surrounding Shiba Inu.

Barclays: Dual restrictions of physical and capital, data center growth will slow significantly in 2027!

Barclays' latest report reveals that the global data center construction boom is approaching a turning point—the year-on-year growth rate of new capacity will plummet from over 100% in 2026 to about 35% in 2027, and stabilize by 2028. Facing both physical constraints and tightened financing, hyperscale cloud providers will absorb more than 60% of new capacity, while the risk of project suspension for small and medium developers will sharply increase.

AI Capital Flow Chart: Nvidia Takes 690 Billion, Remaining 499 Companies Share 340 Billion

Morgan Stanley has released its first comprehensive overview of AI capital expenditure: In 2027, among $1.58 trillion in spending by hyperscale cloud service providers, Nvidia alone will take 67%, while the remaining 499 S&P component companies will collectively receive only $339 billion. A more hidden risk lies in over $1.1 trillion of "off-balance-sheet leases," which are essentially disguised debt. 2027 is predicted to have the largest free cash flow shortfall, and the risks of both volume and price declines are being severely underestimated by the market.
