07:55 AM EDT, 10/21/2026 (MT Newswires) -- RTX's (RTX) Pratt & Whitney Canada unveiled on Wednesday its PT9 turboprop engine, which delivers 33% more power at altitude and reduces fuel consumption by 20% compared with previous-generation engines. The engine has completed more than 14,000 development hours and received certification from Transport Canada, the company said. Production will take place in Lethbridge, Alberta in Canada.
