Visa CEO Ryan McInerney stated that fiscal year 2026 was a milestone year for the company. Annual revenue reached a record high of about $46 billion, a 15% increase year-over-year. Excluding the effects of post-pandemic recovery and acquisitions, this marks Visa's strongest annual revenue growth in more than fifteen years.

In terms of shareholder returns, Visa returned $5.2 billion to shareholders through share repurchases and dividends in the fourth quarter, with a cumulative total of $25.6 billion for the year. In addition, the Visa Board of Directors announced a 16% increase in the quarterly cash dividend to $0.78 per share, with the new dividend payable on December 1 to shareholders of record as of November 10.

In terms of mergers and acquisitions, Visa previously announced the acquisition of fraud risk intelligence company BioCatch for $2.4 billion in cash. As of September 30, 2026, Visa held approximately $14.2 billion in cash, cash equivalents, and investment securities.

Looking ahead, McInerney stated that as technology continues to change the way commerce is conducted, Visa will continue to leverage its global payment network, technology, and product strengths to seize new opportunities in the payments industry, with trust viewed as a key factor driving the company's growth for 2027 and beyond.
