Although Touch Holdings operates in the traditional field of interior decoration, its explosive growth in performance raises the question of whether it can attract market capital.

Founded on February 14, 2022, Hong Kong Touch Limited has begun its push for a US IPO in less than four years.

According to Zhitong Finance APP, Touch Holdings, the controlling company of Hong Kong Touch Limited, secretly filed with the SEC on January 16, 2026, and submitted its first public prospectus (F-1 document) on August 7, accelerating the company's listing process.

According to the prospectus, Touch Holdings is a one-stop indoor renovation project management service provider in Hong Kong. The company plans to issue 6.25 million Class A ordinary shares in this IPO, with an issue price of $4 per share, aiming to raise up to $25 million, just on the minimum threshold under Nasdaq’s new fundraising regulations for Chinese companies. The stock code is yet to be announced.

In terms of performance, Touch Holdings has achieved explosive growth. In the fiscal years 2024 and 2025 (the twelve months ended August 31), the company recorded revenues of HK$12.003 million and HK$59.5974 million, respectively, with net profits of HK$2.9265 million and HK$7.6411 million during the periods.

Although Touch Holdings operates in the traditional field of interior renovation, can its explosive performance attract market capital?

End-to-End Project Management, Dual Drivers from Public and Private Sectors Propel High Growth

Touch Holdings is not a traditional renovation company. Instead, it is based in Hong Kong and focuses on project management services for interior engineering. Unlike conventional renovation companies that maintain construction teams, Touch Holdings specializes in renovation project management, providing end-to-end full-process oversight.

The core approach involves the internal team intervening from the initial planning stage once a renovation project is secured. They first confirm client requirements and usage scenarios, then coordinate designers and architects to finalize plans. Once approved, the company is responsible for selecting and dispatching vetted subcontractors, organizing material procurement and site schedules, and supervising, inspecting, and controlling milestones on-site.

With this model, progress, quality, and cost are all tightly controlled by Touch Holdings’ project managers, so clients rarely need to liaise separately with various contractors or suppliers. The essence of this approach is that "management capability," rather than "manual capacity," is the company’s core asset.

It is noteworthy that the projects managed by Touch Holdings cover the entire process, including MEP, hard furnishing, and soft furnishing, not just a segment of renovation. MEP includes HVAC, fire protection systems, electrical installation, plumbing, and details such as switches, sockets, telephone and network cabling. Hard furnishing covers partition construction, painting, wallpapering, and flooring with materials such as wood, carpets, marble, and mirrored panels. Soft furnishing and fixtures cover curtains, lighting, cabinets, wardrobes, kitchen countertops, sinks, bathtubs, desks, and more.

From a client perspective, Touch Holdings serves both public and private sectors. The private sector involves financial institution offices, offices across various industries, commercial buildings, retail stores, restaurants, and high-end residences. The public sector involves government and public institution projects, typically participating indirectly through general contractors.

For the 2025 fiscal year, Touch Holdings’ revenue soared from HK$12.003 million to HK$59.5974 million, up 396.53%, benefitting from simultaneous growth in both public and private business lines. In the public sector, by accessing government and public institution projects through general contractors, the company completed large-scale projects during the reporting period—single contract sizes increased significantly, pushing public sector revenues from approximately HK$7.0827 million in the previous fiscal year to HK$38.4603 million, a surge of 443%.

At the same time, the number of private sector projects increased from 25 to 31. This increase in the quantity and scale of projects drove private sector revenue to surge 329.6%, from HK$4.9201 million to HK$21.1371 million.

Although overall gross margin normalized and dropped from 34.2% to 24.1%, a decline of over ten percentage points, and general and administrative expenses rose 404.9% (which to some extent suppressed profit release), with a nearly fourfold increase in revenue, Touch Holdings’ net profit for the 2025 fiscal year still increased by 161.1% to HK$7.6411 million, reflecting stellar growth in both revenue and profit.

Light-Asset Model Delivers Short-Term Flexibility, Delivery Barriers Unlock Long-Term Potential

At the industry level, Hong Kong’s interior renovation and retrofit sector is a market characterized by "continuous expansion in demand but rapidly rising profitability thresholds." On the demand side, public infrastructure provides strong support, and the Construction Industry Council forecasts that total construction volume will steadily rise from HK$270 billion—HK$315 billion in 2025/26 to HK$305 billion—HK$360 billion in 2030/31.

Meanwhile, the Northern Metropolis, public housing, new railways, university towns, and community facilities will continue driving orders for fit-outs, MEP systems, and retrofits in public and commercial spaces. Amendments such as the "Simple Housing Ordinance," mandatory building inspections, and the five-year renovation cycle for commercial spaces keep the existing market rigidly active.

However, rising demand does not make for easy profits. Structural contradictions on the supply side continue to suppress industry returns. There is a structural shortage of skilled local workers and legally qualified professionals, and imported labor cannot fill the gap in core compliance positions. At the same time, mainland renovation companies are intensifying price competition in Hong Kong by leveraging Greater Bay Area supply chains and prefabrication cost advantages. This dual pressure keeps industry gross margins under long-term strain, with competitors’ margins hovering in the low to mid-teens. Older rivals unable to offer design integration and management premiums through competitive bidding are being phased out.

In this challenging market environment, Touch Holdings has still achieved high growth and margins well above the industry average, demonstrating the advantages of its light-asset operation model focused on interior project management at this stage of development.

In the early growth stage, with just a small team, Touch Holdings can scale up through "internal project managers + an outsourced subcontractor network." The company concentrates on pricing, design coordination, subcontractor dispatch, on-site control, and acceptance, while all manual construction is outsourced to partner subcontractors.

This model’s key benefit is low marginal expansion costs when the company is small—undertaking more projects doesn’t require employing a large number of workers in proportion. This is a crucial reason for Touch Holdings’ explosive performance and over-20% margin, with its moat coming from management experience, client trust, and a local execution network, not heavy assets or technological barriers.

However, for now Touch Holdings’ light-asset model has yet to break client dependence, with one major client accounting for 77.5% of 2025 fiscal year revenue. To upgrade "client trust" from a single-source dependency to a replicable network effect, the funds raised from the IPO will primarily be used to broaden the client base and capture market share.

Touch Holdings clearly plans to strengthen sales and marketing to extend its client pool from a single financial institution to retail chains, office building owners, and public institution framework agreements. This critical task is directly reflected in IPO fundraising plans—20% for brand promotion and 25% for working capital replenishment. The former addresses client acquisition and brand credibility, while the latter provides upfront funds to support large-scale projects, backing the replication of proven large project management capabilities to a broader public and private clientele.

However, before business volume expands, management capacity must scale up as well. Touch Holdings plans to leverage smart AI tools to optimize operations—using digital methods to improve project scheduling, cost estimation, on-site collaboration, and vendor management. This aligns with the 10% of funds earmarked for digital systems. Meanwhile, 15% of funds will be used to expand the project manager and engineering teams, alleviating current core team bottlenecks. Combining the two is intended to prevent loss of control in expansion and further maximize the "small team, big project" marginal cost advantage.

In the medium to long term, Touch Holdings aims to be more than a purely "management-only" company, with 30% of funds planned for upstream and downstream strategic investments and acquisitions. Through acquiring or investing in small companies in building materials supply, design, soft furnishing, and construction collaboration, Touch Holdings seeks to evolve from a "project management company" to a "delivery platform."

The logic is that while a pure light-asset model keeps marginal expansion costs low, as project scale surpasses a threshold, management capacity bottlenecks and outsourcing dependency risks will emerge, limiting further profit growth through the "small team + subcontractor network" approach. At that point, only through acquisitions that enhance bargaining power in the supply chain and fill in design, integration, and local compliance gaps can Touch Holdings build delivery barriers and lift its profit ceiling through end-to-end collaboration. However, given its current revenue scale, whether acquisition targets can be smoothly integrated and the platform model implemented within the critical window still remain uncertain—and the market is watching closely.

The quality factor QMJ, which has tracked the US stock market for nearly 70 years, is issuing a rare warning. In July this year, the indicator posted its largest single-month gain of 14.3% since 1957, as the long-running outperformance of junk stocks over more than two years was suddenly reversed. Historically, similar sharp reversals in QMJ occurred during the bursting of the internet bubble in 2000 and the financial crisis in 2008.

Tonight, the Federal Reserve's "no action" is unsurprising, and the market chooses to "buy everything" (except crude oil).

The Federal Reserve is almost certain to pause rate hikes tonight, but strong U.S. economic data is pushing the probability of a rate hike in December back above 80%, fueling expectations for “higher rates for longer.” Strangely, stocks, the dollar, gold, and bitcoin are all rising simultaneously, with the market staging a “buy everything” rally, while only crude oil is falling against the trend. Behind this broad rally, AI financing pressures and credit risks persist, and Wall Street is warning of market correction risks.
