According to a source from Iraq's state-owned North Oil Company on November 1, Iraq's crude oil exports via Turkey's Ceyhan port have reached an average of 500,000 barrels per day for the first time. The Iraqi "Shafaq News" website quoted sources as saying that increased crude oil supply from the Basra oil field has driven the rise in export volume. This crude oil is transported by tanker truck to Khurmala in northern Iraq and then piped to Turkey's Ceyhan port. Currently, of Iraq's crude oil exported via this port, 40% comes from the Basra oil field, 35% from the Kurdish region, and the remaining 25% from Kirkuk. A representative from Iraq's Ministry of Oil stated that in August this year, Iraq's daily crude oil exports via Ceyhan port were between 150,000 and 180,000 barrels. (Xinhua News Agency)
