Low base, high oil prices, and subsidies all drive growth: Tesla (TSLA.US) continues sales rebound in Northern Europe in October
In October of this year, registrations of new Tesla cars increased in several Nordic markets, continuing the recovery momentum of the American electric vehicle manufacturer's sales in the region.
According to Jin Zhi Finance APP, in October this year, Tesla (TSLA.US) saw an increase in new vehicle registrations in several Nordic markets, continuing the American electric car manufacturer's recovery in regional sales.
According to data from Mobility Sweden, Norwegian statistics agency OFV, and Danish vehicle data platform bilstatistik.dk, Tesla's registrations in Sweden surged by 248%, grew by 131% in Norway, and increased by 34% in Denmark.
This rebound is attributed to a low base period last year, rising fuel prices, government incentive measures, and the continued growth in demand for electric vehicles. Registration data for the United Kingdom and Germany, the two largest car markets in Europe, will be released later this week.
Tesla revealed in October that, by the end of the third quarter, its passenger car order backlog had reached a four-year high.
