AMD (AMD.US) reported Q3 2026 revenue of $13.38 billion, a year-on-year increase of 45%, exceeding market expectations of $13.09 billion. Adjusted EPS was $2.09, higher than the expected $1.95. Data center business revenue nearly doubled year-on-year to $8.5 billion, accounting for 64% of total revenue, up from 47% in the same period last year, mainly driven by growing demand for AI processors. CEO Lisa Su stated that data center processor demand is expected to further accelerate and the company is capable of meeting AI chip demand. AMD expects Q4 revenue of about $17 billion, higher than the market’s expectation of $16.2–16.3 billion, but gross margin guidance is at 55%, lower than the market expectation of 55.3%. Meanwhile, due to tight memory chip supply and rising prices, the PC market remains under pressure; personal computer and gaming business revenue fell 8% year-on-year to $3.7 billion, with gaming revenue down 40%. After the financial report was released, AMD rose more than 9% in after-hours trading, driving up other chip stocks such as NVIDIA and SK Hynix.
