McDonald's shares rose more than 2% in pre-market trading; the company reported adjusted earnings per share of $3.57 for the third quarter, up from $3.22 in the same period last year and ahead of market expectations of $3.40. Global comparable sales for the third quarter increased by 1.5%, exceeding the market forecast of 1.35%.
