The Ministry of Commerce holds a roundtable for multinational companies at the Import Expo to ensure equal participation of foreign enterprises in procurement.

On November 4th, on the eve of the 9th China International Import Expo, Vice Minister of Commerce and Deputy China International Trade Representative Ling Ji presided over a roundtable meeting in Shanghai with multinational companies participating in the Import Expo. Representatives from over 100 multinational enterprises and foreign business associations attended the meeting, including Perennial, Omron, ZEISS, Sanofi, Reckitt, Boeing, ArcelorMittal, Woven, Mercedes-Benz, Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company, Alcon, Boehringer Ingelheim, Emerson, Bosch, Ford, and Eastman. Ling Ji stated that China will ensure foreign-funded enterprises enjoy equal rights in government procurement and other legitimate interests, and will continue to improve and optimize the export control system, striving to create a world-class business environment that is market-oriented, law-based, and internationalized. He expressed hope that multinational companies will remain committed to working with China, make full use of open platforms such as the Import Expo, and meet the diversified demands of the Chinese market with high-quality supply.
