In October 2026, Singapore’s official foreign exchange reserves fell to 551.32 billion Singapore dollars, down from 553.57 billion Singapore dollars the previous month. This decrease was mainly due to a reduction in gold and foreign exchange reserves, which dropped from 543.62 billion Singapore dollars to 541.39 billion Singapore dollars. Special Drawing Rights also decreased slightly, from 8.18 billion Singapore dollars to 8.11 billion Singapore dollars, while Singapore’s reserve position in the International Monetary Fund rose from 1.77 billion Singapore dollars to 1.82 billion Singapore dollars. In the same period last year, official foreign exchange reserves stood at 510.4 billion Singapore dollars.
