Reuters, November 6 - Alphabet GOOGL.O said on Friday that as of September, the company held nearly 3 million shares of chipmaker Qualcomm QCOM.O, with a holding value of $547.9 million.
Qualcomm's share price rose more than 3% in pre-market trading.
The Google parent company also increased its stake in Elon Musk's SpaceX (SPCX.O), raising its holdings from 551.2 million shares to about 555 million shares.
Earlier this week, Qualcomm disappointed investors when its quarterly smartphone chip sales missed Wall Street expectations due to weak demand, although the company forecast that revenue from its emerging data center business would exceed expectations.
