Pundit: XRP and XLM Holders, Do You Know How Big This Is?

Franklin Templeton’s comparison of traditional fund processing costs with blockchain transactions highlights the potential financial benefits of tokenization.

The asset manager calculated that processing 50,000 fund transactions cost approximately $75,000 through traditional systems, compared with just $1.13 on the Stellar blockchain.

Crypto commentator X Finance Bull believes this difference demonstrates why financial institutions could increasingly adopt blockchain technology, creating long-term opportunities for XRP and XLM.

In a detailed tweet, X Finance Bull connected Franklin Templeton’s established operations on Stellar with its expanding tokenization activities on the XRP Ledger. He believes both networks could benefit as major financial institutions move investment products and transactions onto blockchain infrastructure.

Franklin Templeton Demonstrates Stellar’s Cost Advantage

X Finance Bull highlighted comments from Sandy Kaul, Franklin Templeton’s Head of Innovation, who discussed a comparison covering approximately six months of actual operations.

Traditional transfer-agency processing cost around $1.50 per transaction, while Stellar charged approximately $0.0000226 in blockchain fees.

The difference represents roughly 99.9985% lower transaction-processing costs. The commentator also highlighted Franklin Templeton’s BENJI product, which allows investors to access its Stellar-based money market fund with approximately $20. This compares with around $500 typically required to open an account in a conventional money market fund.

Franklin Templeton launched its Franklin OnChain U.S. Government Money Fund, known as FOBXX, on Stellar in April 2021. BENJI tokens represent shares in the regulated fund, which invests primarily in short-term U.S. government securities, cash, and eligible repurchase agreements.

X Finance Bull cited approximately $605 million in BENJI assets on Stellar as of October 6, 2026, alongside more than $211 million in peer-to-peer share transfers through March 31, 2026.

Institutional Tokenization Expands To XRP Ledger

The commentator also examined Franklin Templeton’s activities on XRPL. In September 2025, Franklin Templeton, DBS Bank, and Ripple announced a collaboration involving the sgBENJI money market fund, DBS Digital Exchange, and RLUSD.

The institutions planned to tokenize sgBENJI shares on XRPL, support trading between the fund shares and RLUSD, and explore lending arrangements using tokenized investments as collateral.

X Finance Bull highlighted October 24, 2026 reporting that Franklin Templeton had added approximately $150 million in sgBENJI shares to XRPL, bringing the reported total to around $200 million.

He believes these developments could create opportunities for institutional financing and increase demand for liquidity. He specifically sees potential for XRP to facilitate exchanges between tokenized financial products through XRPL’s decentralized exchange and auto-bridging functionality.

Aviva And DTCC Add To Institutional Developments

X Finance Bull also referenced Aviva Investors’ October 26 announcement of a tokenized share class for its Sterling Liquidity Fund on XRPL. The underlying fund held approximately £22 billion in assets, while Aviva’s two tokenized share classes had attracted more than £86 million.

He further highlighted DTCC’s collaboration with the Stellar Development Foundation. Announced in May 2026, the initiative aims to make eligible securities, including U.S. Treasuries, equities, and ETFs, available through Stellar during the first half of 2027.

Why X Finance Bull Remains Bullish On XRP And XLM

X Finance Bull believes increasing institutional adoption could create long-term opportunities for both cryptocurrencies. He explained that XLM supports Stellar’s network operations through transaction fees and account reserves, while XRP supports XRPL through transaction fees, reserves, and its potential role as a bridge asset.

He also referenced McKinsey’s estimate that tokenized financial assets could reach $2 trillion by 2030 in its base-case scenario, with a bullish projection of $4 trillion.

Looking ahead, X Finance Bull expects greater institutional adoption of tokenized funds, collateral arrangements, and blockchain-based settlement.

Just bet on AI and already faced a market blow! Berkshire reports earnings tonight, Abel faces a major test in his transformation

Greg Abel has been leading Berkshire Hathaway for less than a year, yet he has already made a bet of over $10.9 billion on the AI sector, marking a complete break from Buffett’s traditional avoidance of tech stocks. However, Alphabet’s stock price has fallen below their initial purchase cost, and Bending Spoons continues to decline, putting this bold AI gamble to the test. At the same time, third-quarter earnings per share are expected to drop 6% year-over-year, and the share repurchase program is likely to plummet from $4.5 billion to $1.6 billion. How to deploy $358 billion in cash will be a major challenge for the new leader’s capital allocation skills.

Has the AI bubble burst? Goldman Sachs: It's more like 1998 than 2000 right now

The Goldman Sachs trading desk stated that the current wave of sell-offs resembles the 1998 liquidity crisis more than the bursting of the 2000 bubble. It is a forced deleveraging rather than a refutation of business fundamentals. The market is drastically repricing construction financing and timeline expectations, rather than underlying demand. Moreover, the issues currently drawing the most attention from the market—electricity and licensing—are actually the least important, as limited supply does not equate to disappearing demand. The real question that needs to be answered is whether long-term revenues can ultimately justify the capital invested.
