Gold has therefore moved from a strong upward phase into a more defensive structure. The $4,480–$4,540 area is now an important recovery zone. Reclaiming this region would be the first indication that buyers are beginning to regain short-term control. The larger barrier remains around $4,700. Gold previously approached this level before reversing, making it the most important resistance on the chart. The next important support would then be around $4,332. That would put considerably more pressure on the recent bullish structure and suggest that the market needs a deeper reset before another sustained advance can develop.
