Cathie Wood: Bitcoin is not only a risky asset, but also a safe-haven asset
Ar kInvest CEO Cathie Wood posted on social media X, stating that unlike the monetary center and regional banks in 2008, Bitcoin is a global, decentralized, transparent, private, rule-based currency ecosystem that is not affected by counterparty risk. In March of last year, ARK Invest realized that Bitcoin was unique: it is not only a risky asset but also a hedge asset. The Federal Reserve made a mistake, so Ark Invest believes that spot Bitcoin ETFs may be tools to hedge against inflation but are more likely tools to hedge against price deflation and counterparty risk.
