Circle Executive: EURC market cap breaks through 50 million euros, may soon become the number one euro stablecoin by market value
Circle's Senior Head of EU Strategy and Policy, Patrick Hansen, posted on X stating that according to DefiLlama data, the market capitalization of EURC has exceeded 50 million euros. In the past week, the market value of EURC has increased by 36%, mainly due to its launch on the Base chain (where there is already about 8 million euros in EURC) and growth on the Ethereum chain. At this rate, EURC will soon become the euro stablecoin with the highest market value. For reference: EURC is already the largest MiCA-compliant euro stablecoin. Although AEUR currently has a higher market cap, it has now stopped issuing and redeeming due to FlowBank's bankruptcy in Switzerland.
