Eric Trump Calls Bitcoin "Digital Gold" and Enters the Crypto Industry Due to Political Attacks
At the Consensus 2025 conference held in Toronto, Eric Trump, son of U.S. President Donald Trump, stated: "I truly believe Bitcoin is digital gold... I believe it is a store of value." He noted that it was "when the same people attacking my family also started attacking the crypto community" that he became connected with the crypto circle. He also mentioned: "I also realized some limitations of real estate... Real estate cannot be moved, it's very hard to sell... you need to constantly manage it." In contrast, "you suddenly have this digital asset that you don't need to watch over, don't need to manage, and it's easy to trade." Eric Trump is the co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer of the Bitcoin mining company American Bitcoin, which plans to go public through a merger with Gryphon Digital Mining.
