Several protocols migrate from LayerZero to Chainlink CCIP, with a total TVL exceeding $2 billion
ChainCatcher reports that, despite LayerZero having already issued an apology statement, several protocols with a combined TVL of around $2 billion have announced migration to Chainlink CCIP, including KelpDAO ($1.5 billion), SolvProtocol ($600 million), and re ($200 million). Meanwhile, leading assets still using the LayerZero OFT standard include: USDe/sUSDe (Ethena), weETH (Etherfi), USDT0 (Tether), thBILL (Theo), and WBTC (Bitgo). The specific migration progress will be subject to project team announcements.
Previously, LayerZero officially apologized for its poor communication regarding security incidents over the past three weeks. The team admitted that its internal RPC was attacked by Lazarus Group and acknowledged it had mistakenly allowed LayerZero Labs DVN to serve as the 1/1 verification node for high-value transactions, creating a single point of failure.
