Standard Chartered compares Ethereum to Amazon during the 2001 internet bubble burst and remains bullish on ETH through 2030.
According to ChainCatcher, as reported by The Block, Standard Chartered believes that the recent sharp decline in ETH prices does not reflect the continued improvement of internal metrics on the Ethereum network, and compares the situation to Amazon’s phase following the bursting of the tech bubble in 2001. The bank maintains its ETH price targets: $4,000 by the end of 2026 and $40,000 by the end of 2030, and expects the ETH/BTC exchange rate to rebound to around 0.08 by the end of this decade.
The bank stated that Ethereum is dominant in the stablecoin and RWA (real-world asset tokenization) sectors, and expects that by 2028, the market value of both stablecoins and non-stablecoin RWAs could grow to approximately $2 trillion. This will drive Ethereum’s transaction volume and TVL to new highs, supporting an increase in ETH price.
