On Monday, most leading tech stocks rose, with Amazon (AMZN.US) and Microsoft (MSFT.US) both gaining over 5%.
According to Zhihu Finance APP, on Monday, most major tech stocks rose. Amazon (AMZN.US) and Microsoft (MSFT.US) each gained over 5%, Google (GOOGL.US), Meta (META.US), and Oracle (ORCL.US) rose over 4%, while Tesla (TSLA.US) was up over 1%. The three major US stock indexes all rallied, with the Nasdaq Index up 0.90%, the S&P 500 Index up 0.73%, and the Dow Jones Index up 1.15%.
Amazon’s total market capitalization surpassed 3 trillion US dollars, setting a new all-time high. On the news front, Amazon AWS cloud business revenue growth hit an 18-quarter high. The company raised its full-year 2026 capital expenditure guidance and offered an optimistic outlook regarding the trillion-dollar revenue potential of AI over the long term; the trend of AI computing power demand exceeding supply is expected to persist. Institutions predict that, with the accelerated commercialization of generative AI, continued penetration of enterprise-level AI applications and cloud-based intelligent agents, the world’s nine major core cloud service providers (CSPs) are set to usher in a wave of capital expenditure increases by late July. Tech giants at home and abroad are collectively ramping up investment in intelligent computing centers, GPU clusters, self-developed chips, and supporting infrastructure, expanding computing power at a pace that exceeds previous market expectations.
