08:59 AM EDT, 09/16/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Consumer stocks were advancing premarket Wednesday, with the State Street Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLP) 0.1% higher and the State Street Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLY) up 0.3%. Trip.com Group (TCOM) shares were up more than 4% after the company posted higher Q2 adjusted earnings and net revenue.
